Recorded in front of a live audience at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the UK’s much loved comedian hosted the Michael McIntyre Christmas Show which was aired on BBC One on Christmas Day.
In the special edition of the production, Michael presented the world’s leading comedians, including Dara O Briain; the fabulous Dame Edna Everage; and ventriloquist and winner of America’s Got Talent, Paul Zerdin – as well as music superstars Ellie Goulding and Sir Tom Jones – for a night packed with festive treats and surprises.
One of the evening’s particular highlights included Michael choosing an unsuspecting member of the audience to hand over their mobile phone as part of a game called “Send To All”. Much to the rest of the audience’s delight, the lucky owner of said mobile phone then had their screen enlarged and projected across the packed auditorium, before the comedian invited their entire phone book over for Christmas lunch.
